I’m a simple man, I see Thunderbird, I click. Good morning to you, too.

I feel like I’ve driven past this house.

So looking at the house, the landscaping, and the hillside in the back yard and I’m thinking Palm Springs.
Turns out the color of the Thunderbird is ‘Palm Springs Rose’.

That’s quite a lot of color offerings. I wish there were more interesting colored cars around these days.

Is that 18 paint colors? And most of them are actual colors? And don’t get me started on the interior schemes - quite a bit there besides black, grey, and beige.

Yes, it was certainly a different time for american car manufacturers.
69 Camaros had (4) different transmission options and more than (10) different engine options.
Aside from th e market domination th at Ford and GM benefitted from back then with s o fewer imports, t he paint standards back then might have enabled a greater variety. They didn’t have much for environmental requirements to meet. Paint was probably a lot of fun for the automakers back then where now I expect it's a cost burden and a an environmental audit risk.
